Free People dress (similar) | J. Crew earrings (similar)

I was lucky enough to model for my friend Kelsey recently- not only did I get to wear a gorgeous Free People gown of hers, but she has a knack for taking unphotogenic people (like yours truly) and making them look glamorous. Even though we were in a Boston suburb, I felt like I was on some rooftop in Paris.

Kelsey scored this dress on super sale for the deal of the century, so it's unfortunately unavailable. But I did find a few similar gowns if you have any upcoming weddings (or rooftops to explore).

If you're in the New England area and need a very talented photographer or videographer, or just enjoy nice photos, you can find Kelsey on Instagram here!

St. Armand's Circle

I've posted this white jean-wedge combo before, and they're still going strong! These white jeans are seriously one of my all-time favorite purchases, and have beat out pairs much more expensive denim brands. I even spilled red wine on them recently (oops) and was amazed by how well they wash!

These photos are from my Cancun/Florida trip, and were taken in St. Armand's Circle. It is the cutest shopping and dining area in Sarasota, and right by Lido Key beach! Highly recommend visiting if you're in the area. There's a Lilly signature store, a really fun boutique called Apricot Lane, and a bunch of adorable restaurants (Surf Shack has AMAZING fish tacos) and ice cream spots!

Splurge vs. Save: Spring Shoes

I interrupt your regularly scheduled vacation outfit posts to bring you another #TargetDoesItAgain roundup (the last one I did was for winter wear). If you're like me and love shoes, but generally only purchase staple pieces because you can't bring yourself to splurge on trendy, I'll-maybe-wear-these-twice shoes, Target to the rescue! Recently, they've really been on their game with offering designer looks for less.

Without further ado, here are 3 styles I love for spring with their more affordable dupes:

Suede ankle strap heels

Scalloped ballet flats
ChloƩ $495 vs. Sam & Libby $19.99*
(Middle of the road option: Callisto $51)

*I actually just got this exact pair of flats in gold, and they are SO comfortable! They run TTS- I got my standard 8.5.

Fringe lace-up heels
Aquazzura $785 vs. Irene Ghille $34.99

What's your favorite shoe trend this year?

Breezy Maxi Dress

Tobi maxi dress c/o | Jack Roger sandals | The Peach Box Roman numeral & knot bracelets c/o | Lilly Pulitzer bag

March flew by!! I've been super busy with house/apartment shopping, work, and Enzo's recovery from his surgical procedure early this month. Now that things have slowed down a little, I was able to finish editing these photos from Cancun and give the blog a tiny facelift (let me know what you think!). It has been rain, rain, rain in Boston recently, so I am very ready for sun and spring!

This maxi dress is from last summer, but it was perfect for Cancun- breezy, light, and I could wear it as a coverup or dress it up for dinner.

Off The Shoulder Dress in Cancun

Topshop dress (old, most similar + more options below) | Kate Spade crossbody (similar) | Loren Hope earrings (old, but love her classic style) | Target wedges | J. Crew bangle (similar) & Ralph Lauren bit bracelet (similar)

This day in Cancun we were enjoying our time by the pool a bit too much and stayed out later than usual. Hence the "shoot, the light's gone and we're rushing off to dinner and I just showered but this dress is so cute I'm determined to take blog photos anyway" look. Whoops. It was definitely one of the times I wish I could blow dry my hair!! (Even with a diffuser it usually gets too poofy, so 99% of the time I air dry it. #curlyhairproblems)

The positive of having to take these photos inside is that you get to see a little of the resort's architecture and design! It was almost a mix of baroque and colonial- very grand with lots of details.

I bought this dress last year, and am so happy that the off the shoulder trend gained traction and is big this year because it's one of my favorite silhouettes! I was always afraid to try it because I have broad shoulders, but after experimenting I've found that as long as I get the right cut and size they're easy to pull off.

Two (possibly 3) more posts to come from our trip, so keep an eye out! :)

My boyfriend and I just got back to Boston from a week-long vacation to Cancun and Florida! This outfit is from when we stayed at Riu Palace Las Americas in Cancun. It was beautiful there- and most importantly, free of snow! For a coverup outfit that could take me from the beach to lunch inside, I opted for a simple look based around this breezy pom pom top.

We're already itching to plan another trip someplace warm... where are your favorite places to travel?
